I just about shit myself when I saw how perfect Numéro Tokyo (July/August 2009) spread was.
The colors and the edgy-ness ripped up Valley Girl with bits of hip hop, grunge, and punk in every picture make it work SO WELL.

and an interview for crash magazine, and i couldn't of been happier with the shooot it looks beautiful!! she's grown up so much from the Harry Potter movies and apparently she said this shoot was her favorite she's ever done. I can't get over the shape of the bodice and how perfect it looks!!

While I was in New York over the summer, I went to a friend's band's show, and from kinda far away, I noticed this girl taking pictures of Calamus (the band). A few months later, I find her on facebook, and discover that she is EXTREMELY talented. She does a lot of music photography, and its absolutely amazing. So over spring break, i was browsing through the Internet, and i came across a blog that is like, beyond anything i have ever read. and i didn't even understand half of the shit going on (considering it was full of french slang that i am not accustomed to..) The writer of this blog is a lovely girl named Adeline Mai.
She is a photography student in the Gobelins School of Animation, a summer school in Paris. After falling in love with her photos, i couldn't help but send her an email. She responded in less than an hour, and so our conversation started.
Adeline was born and raised in Paris, i am beyond jealous but when i told her how lucky she is, she goes-- "But im getting sick of it!it s a really nice cit but being here for such a long time is really annoying!"

I don't know what's been going on with me but i've been really into the peplum look on mini dresses,
sometimes it can look really corny, but I've always loved that trashy rocker girl/ your moms prom dress look even if its way over done nowadays.

So while looking through the news (yes i read the news), i came across an article about Fashion Week in India. It was extremely interesting and i strongly recommend it. They mention a bunch of names and i ended up google-ing a few of them. There was designer in particular that I was especially impressed with, Manish Arora. He released his first line in 1997, and since then has not only shown his amazing work all over India, but at London Fashion Week. Love Love Love.

Wisdom teeth were taken out today, only one of my toothies had to be extracted fully from the gums, meaning one side of my mouth hurts. The other is feeling pretty ok, I can't remember a thing that happened except for saying "Can I keep my teeth?"
I so desperately wanted to make a pair of earrings out of them (CMON HOW CUTE WOULD THAT BE)
So i'll just have to settle with this from etsy shop THEBESIDE which sells alot of really awesome rings and earrings and well, jewelry in general.
Wisdom tooth in sterling silver a Black Diamond was cast on one side! BEAUTIFUL!

LIFE UPDATE

So i really hate writing about my life, I wanted to keep this a strictly fashion blog but whatever its mine and you'd better read it!!
Right now i'm on two Advil PM's (whoops) an Amoxcicillan, Pee pills, and Lysine.
The Advil's are so that I get a good amount of sleep tonight obvs,
The amoxy's are so I do not get even sicker before or after the surgery.
And the pee pill's are so the Amoxy's don't give me girl troublesss. EW I KNOW WHATEVER.
It's t-minus 48 hours till I get my wizzy's out and Ive been looking up ways to make the two teeth that are actually still going to be in tact, into a pair of earrings.
Anyways tommorow is LongWood Gardens and I can't wait, Its one of my favorite places in the whole wide world, I love being around plants and tree's almost as much as I love being near water..

So we're starting off Bejing Fashion week with the Hempel Award 17th International Young Fashion Designer contest!
let me begin on the outfit on the left, its like some sort of super pure scuba diving outfit. (also looks like an albino version of the drawings they put on the sea monkey boxes!!!)
I do not even have words for the outfit in the middle..
But on the right, its like some deranged mental asylum nurse clown thingy.
But since it's all in white it makes it seem very pure and I think that it makes it way more creepier that way then it would be in black.
I really like all the different textures and the face masks way cool.

I don't get it, Maybe there is something im missing but I think its bad which is a shame because I really really like his stuff and respect him alot as a designer. And yes, i take into consideration this line was made for the general population and not really fashion oriented people (not that they dont shop at target, they have some great stuff UGHHHH JSUT FORGET ALL THE SORRYS) LOOK I thought it was bad and it really bummed me out because I was so siked all last night thinking about it.
ANYWAYS SO THIS IS WHAT I DID LIKE THOUGH.

I feel like this could be styled really nicely, although i have yet to imagine with what.
I'm sure in the upcoming months though we will see pictures of the brave soul who dared to wear it / buy it (cmon 140$)
But whoever that is, HATS OFF TO YA!

I KIND of like this, I like the little line at the top makes it look very 90's workout gear. but I think it would be cute for summer with a pair of shorts. I wish the straps were white though instead of beige....

I think this is going to be the big seller, I mean.. I cant really imagine myself wearing alot of the collection but this dress I actually reallly really really want. Its perfect and alot of people are saying the fit is really great and It looks so much better in person (which im hoping is the truth for alot of the stuff in this collection)
But Its gorgeous and I WANT TO OWN IT.

This is another dress I really feel like it probably looks better in person, I've been really diggin the whole harness thing and am currently diying my own.. but I think this is a good "general" look with a harness.. I really couldn't imagine anyone who wasn't into fashion wearing this... I can't even imagine how they'd wear it ( with ugg's?)

I love jumpsuits, really truley and this one even looks like the one I own, but I don't like how the pants are kind of in the middle, It will probably look good on someone really tall, but since Im 5' it'll look horrible on me... whatever its eye candy.

I really like the print on this scarf and I think its really cute but not for 30$.. sorry but I am wayyy too cheap.

So essentially I'd give this collection a 7 at most, I mean I was kind of dissapointed in a way... I thought there would be more really interesting pieces but I guess thats what you get with a designer making a line for a big chain store..
Oh well.. I'm still probably going to buy at least one of the pieces (the black tulip dress)

Buttt thats not the point, the point is .. Payless has been showing up on the runway this past Fashion Week and it seems they will be making a pwettyyy new line of shoes for this upcoming fw 09.
The designers are Christian Siriano,Alice + Oliva (who made those awesome patent wedges last season) Abaete, & Lela Rose.

Did anyone else laugh their asses off at this show?
I mean, his collection was pretty.... But I could not concentrate at all except to laugh at what the dude playing was doing, at one point one of the models had to move off the runway to get past him and then he proceeded to walk up front and play for a bit as if it was his show.
I couldn't take it seriously, I mean the dude looks as though he has those clip-on dreads...

I love daytime television.

DIY, I found alot of cash in this purse recently (which i spent quickly there after..)
When I had first bought the bag There was a secret zipper which I found to be hiding old lady goodies.
(Ie.Caramel's from god knows when.. A little wig pick and this is the worst, those cards they give out with pictures of saints on them the one's they give out at funerals.. which kind of bummed me out. But maybe thats what brought me such luck)

Oh man, this song.. it has been playing around in my head for days.
My first show was seeing GBH and Circle Jerks when I was like 11 or 12, I went with this older girl and her friend, I remember being super freaked out that her friend was also a MOM. so we finally get to the show and man I was floored I had never seen that many people show up for a show, let alone get so siked for a band.
When keith morris finally came out I was confused, dude looked SO OLD and his dreads we're flying EVERYWHERE.
But it was an awesome memory, one I wont forget..
This all came about from watching this movie This is England.. pretty good flick, I suggest checking it out.

I dont think anyone has posted any pictures but its all over the tv, its this sparkley yellow jacket with matching dress.
I am a little dissapointed, I mean I get it you have to look a little conservative, but she could of picked another dress that wasn't so grandma-ish.
I cant wait to see who designed her ball gown, I hope that it's alot better then what she is wearing this morning.

Not only is this dude one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen
You can really tell that bold color is important to him no matter what season it is,
the ombre teal fur jacket with lavender leggings are AMAZING.
And the green sweater dress thing color combos remind me of Rocko's Modern Life for some reason.

I feel as though if you were sitting in the middle of one of those gems, the prints are what you would see.
This collection is in my top 10 already and the new year has only just begun, I cant even imagine what we're going to see in the fashion world this year. With the recession happening and people not wanting to spend much (yet people are still buying uggs) and possibly we'll see more usage of organic materials as fashion might be headed in a green direction.

Happy New Year to everyone who reads this first post!!
My new year started off great as I woke up to my asos package being on the table.
I had ordered a cream snood and a watercolor print dress but the dress ended up being just a wee bit small.
I cant stop wearing the snood.
I feel as though it is the poor girls version of yokoo's beautiful snuggler snood.
Her stuff is definetly worth using my christmas money on, and the best part is that her stuff is all handmade.
Although my snood will never compare to the snuggler, I can at least pretend until I have enough duckets in the bank saved up to buy some of the stuff she sells.
Anyways, now time to watch Ken Park.
